Terrace of 13 houses, now shops. 1853. By Pope, Bindon and
Clarke. Limestone ashlar, party wall stacks and pantile valley
roof. Double-depth plan. Each of 3 storeys; 1-window range. A
stepped terrace articulated by recessed strips to party walls,
has stepped cornices and parapets. Ground floor of No.13 has a
right-hand doorway with a raised surround and segmental-arched
head, and 6-panel door. The rest have C20 shop fronts.
Architraves with raised cornices to 2/2-pane sashes with
margin bars. Segmental-arched basement opening. INTERIOR:
entrance hall to a central lateral dogleg stair with turned
balusters, cast-iron newel and wreathed rail, acanthus cornice
and 4-panel doors.
