House. c1760. Rendered rubble with slate valley roof, pantiles
to rear block and brick gable-end stacks. Double-depth plan. 2
storeys and attic; 5-window range. Symmetrical front, porch
with flat canopy on 4 stanchions with acanthus-leaf bases and
capitals over a half-glazed door; plate-glass sashes in flush
boxes, and 3 lead-clad dormers. C20 extension to the right
end. INTERIOR: central through passage from the door, with
dogleg stair on the left with column newels and 6-panel
shutters to the ground-floor windows. Originally a worker's
cottage attached to the Ashton Court estate.
