Terrace of 3 houses, now shops. From 1762 and completed c1800.
By Thomas Paty. Limestone ashlar and brick, with party wall
stacks and a pantile mansard roof. Mid Georgian style.
Double-depth plan. Each of 3 storeys and attic; 3-window
range. C20 shop fronts, pilasters to a cornice and parapet,
sill band to No.76. Plate-glass sashes and paired dormers. The
right-hand return is brick with limestone dressings, a
5-window range with a C20 ground floor and central Doric
doorcase with pilasters and a pediment, fanlight and 6-panel
door; windows with cambered heads and 5 stepped voussoirs to
sashes as the front, blind to all but over the doorway.
INTERIOR not inspected. Park Street was developed over some 40
years, was severely damaged c1940, and much rebuilt in
facsimile after the war.
