Coach house to Nos.18 and 19

Coach house, now garage. c1890. Roughcast with brick
dressings, tile-hung gable and tile roof. Open plan. Domestic
Revival style. Single-storey; single double-door range. Gabled
front has brick quoins, full-width sliding doors beneath a
small balcony and hay loft door with a projecting octagonal
roof above; a louvred lantern on the ridge has a steep
pyramidal roof with projecting eaves and a weather vane. The
left return has a left-of-centre gabled bay, tile-hung below a
timber-framed gable, overhanging eaves to the right on a
bracketed post, beneath a timber-framed dormer with paired
casements. INTERIOR: troughs in the floor for soaking the
coach wheels, 2 brown, glazed drinking troughs to the left
below the windows; the lower walls have brown glazed tiles,
with white brick above; a hay loft behind the gable front, the
rear is open with a scissor-braced truss on stone corbel; a
small balcony with wrought-iron rail to the hay loft doorway.
