House and shop. Late C18, with early and late C19 alteration.
Painted stone on painted plinth to Finkle Street, and painted
render to Market Place; timber boxed eaves cornice; hipped
pantile roof with brick end stacks. Finkle Street front: 3
storeys, 3 windows. Double shopfront between fluted pilaster
strips, with continuous fascia and fluted band beneath moulded
cornice. Recessed half-glazed and panelled door beneath
blocked overlight, between 3-light canted-bay shop windows
with brick risers. Right window retains early C19 small-pane
glazing, but left window has replacement 16-pane central sash
between 8-pane flanking sashes. On the first and second
floors, windows to left are 12-pane sashes, those to right
blind 16-pane sashes, and all have painted stone sills and
painted wedge lintels. Market Place front: 3 storeys, 3
windows. Late C19 double shopfront with pilasters and
entablature. Glazed door with blocked overlight, between
square-bay plate glass windows with colonnette glazing bars,
over panelled risers. 4-pane sash windows on first and second
floors.
