Monument. 1901. By Edmund Kirby. Stone. Octagonal shaft raised
on steps with decorated traceried panels to base, one
inscribed "Victoria Queen and Empress, 1901". Small traceried
frieze at base of tall cylindrical shaft with octagonal
arcading of detached silver granite shafts which terminate in
a series of arcaded foiled gablets. This is surmounted by a
second octagonal column with detached shafts and arcading, and
there is a short spire terminating in a crown finial.
