Farmhouse. Late C18 or early C19. English bond brickwork, tile
roof, brick stacks. Symmetrical front block with twin hipped
wings to central valley, C20 extension one end, and lower
hipped wing at left end.
2 storeys and attic, 3-windowed. Tripartite 4:12:4-pane sashes
in broad boxes and under decorative frieze with cornice, all
to recessed full-height panel. Central first-floor 12-pane
sash in similar setting, with insurance plaque in panel.
6-panel fielded door with interlaced ogee-bars fanlight in
open moulded pediment on pilasters and consoles. Decorative
frieze and moulded cornice to eaves. Gable stack to right, and
to rear slope, left. Left gable has 16-pane attic sash, and
right gable 2 small 2-light casements. Back has one 12-pane,
and various casements, some steel. Outbuilding, left, has
plank door to front, and wide garage doors at N end under hip.
INTERIOR: features include many early fielded-panel doors in
architraves and original stair through 2 storeys with curved
outer end, stick balusters, and fret design to ends of treads
on short return of 3 risers.
