House in row. C17 with early to mid C18 front. Timber-frame,
Flemish bond brickwork front, tile roof.
3 storeys and basement, 3-windowed. 9-pane over 12-pane sashes
with thick bars and near-square panes, to brick voussoirs and
projecting brick keystones under 3-course brick string
courses; stone cills. Basement grille in deep plinth. Ground
floor has 2 sashes with, to the left, a flush-panelled door in
moulded architrave to modelled frieze and closed pediment. The
door gives to the throughway, which has a box-framed wall with
brick nogging to the right. Coped parapet, hipped roof, large
stack to the right, rising above the ridge of the adjoining
Tudor House Hotel (qv). INTERIOR not inspected.
