Mirrored pair of houses. Early C19. Rendered fronts, lined to
imitate masonry; painted slate-hanging on right gable.
Half-hipped slated roof. Large rendered chimney on centre of
ridge, over party-wall. 3 storeys. Each house has 1 window per
storey with doorways at outer ends of ground storey. No 18 has
4-panelled door with knocker, the upper panels now glazed. No
20 has door with 4 moulded upper panels and 3 flush bottom
panels, the top 2 panels now glazed; iron knocker. Both doors
have flanking pilasters with incised Greek decoration;
entablature. Windows have bracketed sills and 6-paned sashes,
except that the upper sashes in the third storey have only 3
panes; ground storey sashes are slightly bowed, sashes in
third storey rise slightly above the eaves.
