Public house. Late C18/early C19 with later alterations. Brick, stucco fronted,
Welsh slate roof, brick end stacks, stone coping to right. 3 storeys; 3-window
range. 2-storey extension to right. Central entrance has keystoned voussoirs and
overlight. Panelled door. To left a sash with glazing bars (4-pane width) and
keystoned voussoirs. Bay window to right has C20 sashes with glazing bars. 3
sashes to first floor have glazing bars and keystoned voussoirs. Stone sills. 3
sashes to second floor have glazing bars and stone sills. Central window
blocked. Rusticated quoins. Extension to right: carriage entrance has plank
doors. Windowless first floor above. Hipped extension to far right has a long,
narrow window to ground floor and a wide sash to first floor. Interior: ground
floor remodelled C20. Some re-used timbers.
