8/103 Tockenham Court Farmhouse

Farmhouse, Cl6-C19. Limestone rubble with ashlar blocks, hipped
stone slate roof with 2 dormers. 2-storey and attic. Main block
with left extension and rear wing on right. Main block, C17, 4
bays with major axial stack with oven, altered. C18 fenestration
12-pane sashes with radial flat arch voussoirs and cornice moulding.
Rear wing C16, 2½ bays with 2 parallel deep spine beams with swept
bar stops and carved arrow elaboration. Stone fireplace in attic,
chamfered head with cornice mantel, This wing is higher than main
block. Extension to left, early C19, 2 bays, possibly a dairy,
casement windows. Main block has cambered collar roof with butt
purlins. The house is claimed to have been partly destroyed during
the Civil War when it was the, residence of Sir William Button.
