Hotel, c1870-80. Brick with stone dressings. Slate roof. 3
storey, 5 bays, with central entrance and internal light well.
Gothic revival style. Recessed central entrance with segmental
arch decorated with fasces. Flanking square bays to ground floor,
stone with hipped roofs and corner columns. Windows to outer bays
and to upper floors paired, with moulded and shouldered segmental
heads on Decorated style columns, all under brick relieving arches.
Quoined ends to facade. Central chimney stack corbelled out over
entrance on clustered columns, and royal arms at second floor
level. Each bay has gablet with carved roundel.
Interior: decorated plaster ceilings to reception rooms.
