House. Late C16; both wings extended late 1960's. L shape plan.
Timber framed and plastered; roof plaintiled except for front of
main wing which is of glazed pantiles. 2 storeys and attic.
Main wing to east, fronting road: 5 window range, mainly C20
casements, those to the ground floor with square leaded panes;
first floor with one original 10-light mullion window; doorway
with mid C20 gabled porch and boarded door; internal stack.
Interior with some good quality exposed timberwork; the wall
posts supporting the main first floor beam in the west wing have
bulbous moulded heads with scalloping across the face above and
below (cf. Macheath, Middleton Moor); some ovolo-moulded beams in
north wing.
