6/169 The Manse and Congregational Chapel
II
House, mid to later C18, small coursed ashlar blocks with
Bridgwater tiled mansard roof, coped gables and ashlar end wall
stacks. 2 storey, 3 window range. Rusticated quoins, rubble
stone plinth, eaves band. Raised stone window surrounds, bead-
moulded with 12-pane sashes to outer first floor windows and
central bead-moulded Venetian window. Ground floor stopped cyma
moulding to windows and 12-pane sashes, central moulded stone
doorcase with hood on brackets. Parallel rear range. Attached
to east side is C19 single storey malthouse with stone tiled roof
converted to Congregational Chapel 1914 (datestone), glazing bar
windows to sides and c1914 front porch.
