House, late medieval and C17, rubble stone and stone slate roof
with south end stack and ridge stack. Two storeys, 3-window
range. First floor casement pair, triple casement and casement
pair. Ground floor casement pair, 2-light hollow-moulded recessed
mullion window, originally larger, triple casement and fine moulded
C15 pointed doorway. Attached to right, gabled to road is former
smithy, converted in part to bus shelter. Upper 2-light window,
dripcourse over ground floor timber-lintel opening and pointed
archway. Stepped buttress each side.
Interior: heavy beamed compartmental ceiling to ground floor
centre. Chamfered beams with scroll stops. Stone shelf over
blocked fireplace. Rear stair tower has Tudor-arched 2-light
mullion window reset from rear wall.
