Farmhouse. Late C16 with extensive C18 additions. Timber framed with
rendered walling and pantile roof. Two storeys with attic. 3-cell baffle-
entry plan. Entrance front: stuccoed and grooved in imitation of ashlar
blocks. Projecting C19 gabled wing at right with a sash window to ground
floor centre. To left of this is the late C16 portion refaced in the C19.
This has a door to far right with 4 recessed panels and a moulded doorcase.
To left of this are a 4-light casement window and at far left a 3-light C20
casement, with, between them, a single-light casement. The first floor has
three 3-light C19 casements. Gable-ended roof. Ridge chimney stack at
right of 2 flues and a further ridge stack of 4 flues to left of centre.
Right hand side: the gable end has a massive battered chimney stack to its
centre but the lower body is largely masked by two gabled outshuts one of
C18 date and one of C19 date. Rear: projecting lean-to at right of ground
floor with an adjoining C20 conservatory at left and a porch with a hipped
slate roof at left again. Further doorway at left, the door having 4 flush
panels, to right of which is a 4-light casement window and to left of which
is a 3-light casement window, both of C19 date. To the first floor are a
4-light window to right of centre and a 2-light C20 casement to right of
that. To the left is a projecting gabled wing with a 2-light cambered-
headed casement window at ground floor level.
Interior: To the ground floor are chamfered ceiling beams one with ogee
end-stops. Jowled wall-posts to the first floor landing and exposed close
studding. Chamfered purlins and wind bracing to the roof.
