Gates, gatepiers and attached walls at Compton Beauchamp House (q.v.) c.1710.
Square limestone piers with engaged half columns: Left pier surmounted by putto
with dolphin and right pier by putto with two spheres. Fine crested
wrought-iron gates. Piers attached to wall of c.1710; inner face of wall in
Flemish bond brick with flared headers, the top 10 courses being new; outer
face in sarsen rubble with brick cross-banding.
