5/46 Dyer's Hill Bridge
II
Bridge. Probably C17, widened C18. Ashlar. 3 segmental arches spring from
two starlings. Each arch has a keystone and linked string course flanked
by plain end pilasters. Upper walls of coursed squared rubble enclose the
heightened road level which was raised in C19 to form part of the
embankment leading to the railway bridge to the west. The C18 road level
has been observed in service trenches.
