House and shop. Circa late C18, late C19 shop front. Stuccoed
and blocked out, probably stone; slate roof; axial and left
end stacks with brick and rendered shafts.
Plan: Single depth main block with a rear service wing.
Exterior: Main block 3 storeys; rear wing 2 storeys.
Asymmetrical 2-window front with regular fenestration. Front
door to house to left of centre: doorcase with pilasters with
incised fret decoration and entablature, panelled reveals.
Original 6-panel door with fielded panels and a 4-pane
overlight. Alongside to the left an original window embrasure
reglazed with a C20 timber 2-light transomed casement. The
shop front, to the right of the door, incorporates a shop door
to the right. It has plain left and right pilasters with
projecting moulded gabled brackets and a fascia angled to the
front. Recessed shop door, with 2 large panes above a low
panel, an overlight and an ovolo-moulded doorframe. The
2-light shop window has a moulded frame and curves inwards to
the door.
Interior: Ground floor plain but features of interest may
survive on the first floor.
