House. C16 fragment of larger building, altered 1966.
Timber-framed core, now mainly brick. Roofs of pantiles and
plaintiles. East front comprises a 2-storey range to north:
6-panelled door, 4-light C20 window to right below a 4-light
C20 casement. 3-light casement over door. Gabled roof. C16
gable projects to south in 3 storeys: one 3-light cross
casement to each of lower 2 storeys, and a 3-light C16
chamfered brick attic window above. Gabled roof. South return
of this cross wing with a large stepped external stack gabled
back to main roof. Three C20 windows and a door. An offset
gabled 2 storey range runs east from this, the brickwork
displaying increasing antiquity towards C16 east end. Front in
3 bays: central door; 3-light casements either side to each
floor. Gabled roof with internal gable-end stack to east. West
gable illuminated through a lower 6-light chamfered brick
mullioned window and a similar 5-light attic window. Between
them is a C20 casement. Parallel range to north C20. INTERIOR.
Ocassional jowled studs of timber-frame survive. C20 staircase
re-uses balusters. Occasional chamfered bridging beams.
