House, now shop and restaurant. c1770, with late C19 and late
C20 alterations. Brick, with rendered left return and pantile
roof, with 2 gable stacks. Incomplete first floor band, second
floor band, cogged eaves, coped gables. 3 storeys; 4 window
range of segment headed 12 pane sashes, and above, 4 flat
headed 9 pane sashes, one of them blank. Altered late C19
wooden shopfront with pilasters and scroll brackets to
dentillated corniced fascia. Recessed central doorway flanked
by single 2-light windows. Glazed door and windows all have
toplights. To right, an elliptical arched entry with C20
6-panel door. 2 storey rear wing fronting Bargate, has a
single coped gable and gable stack. Rendered front has two 12
pane sashes and large C20 door with wooden pilastered surround
and cornice.
