GV II

2 houses, now butcher's shop. Late C15, restored and altered
mid C19 and mid C20. Timber framed, with arch braces and
rendered nogging, colourwashed brick underbuild and steep
pitched Roman tile roof. First floor jetty on brackets on 2
sides. External rendered gable stack. 2 storeys; 4x3 bays.
Kirkgate front has 4 C20 leaded casements of 2 and 3 ights.
Below, to left, a C19 panelled door and overlight, flanked by
single pane windows. To its left a C20 entry door with slatted
ventilator above. To right again, a margin light sash and a
larger single pane window. Gable end, to Middlegate, has a C20
3-light leaded casement. To left, a corner dorway with C19
2-leaf half glazed door. to right, a single pane window.
