Large village house. Mid/late C19. Slatestone rubble brought
to course, granite dressings, steep dry slate gabled roof;
tall stuccoed shafts on gabled lateral rubble stacks.
Double-depth plan. Tudor Gothic style. 2 storeys plus attics.
3-window range to Duke Street under 2 coped gables with
corbelled kneelers. Mullioned cross windows with 4-pane lights
except to 1st-floor left with pair of 8-pane horned sashes and
6-pane casement to each attic gable; approximatly central
steep coped gabled porch with corbelled kneelers and chamfered
4-centred arched doorway; 4-panel top-glazed door. Other
elevations similarly detailed including porch to left-hand
return. INTERIOR not inspected but likely to be of interest.
