Maltmaster's House. Mid C19, now offices. Gault brick. Roof of
diamond composite slates. 2 storeys and attic in 7 bays, the
centre 5 bays broken forward under a wide pediment. Central
door with 2 tall fielded panels. Doorcase of Tuscan columns
with reeded and fluted necks under block entablatures and open
pediment. Fenestration of horned sashes without glazing bars
under gauged skewback arches. At first floor is an added early
C20 bay window. Pediment with a modified Venetian window
comprising an arched centre with glazing bars flanked by a
rectangular blind window either side. Gabled roof behind
parapet. Pedestrian entrance to left of elevation leads to
single-storey rear wing (The Gables) which is now offices:
open-pedimented doorway and C20 casements. Gabled roof of
black-glazed pantiles.
