Shop. Early C17, altered C20. Timber-framed with C19 gault
brick front pilasters and north return wall. Roughcast and
colourwashed. Plain tile roof. Right-angle plan, presenting
gable to road. 2 storeys and atticC20 glass shopfront. Upper 2
storeys jettied originally, but only attic is now apparent.
First-floor oriel with 2/2 late C19 sashes. One 2/2 late C19
sash to gable head. Bell-based gabled roof, hipped to west
end. South return with replaced sashes and doors, west gable
with one C17 lattice window. INTERIOR. The principal studs
have solid arched braces rising to the chamfered tie beams.
Roof structure not accessible at time of review, but likely to
be of interest.
