Terraced houses. c.1830. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond,
stucco, roofs of Welsh and artificial slate. Except for no 96,
the houses are arranged in pairs with linked, recessed
entrance bays. Two storeys over basement, three windows each
except for nos 48-50 (four windows each), 84-92 and 96-98
(where the houses share a single window in the recessed
entrance bay) and 94 and 100 (two windows each). Cambered arch
to basement. Steps up to round-arched entrance with quarter
columns, cornice, and fanlight except that nos 48-50 lack
quarter columns; no 54 lacks quarter columns and has
decorative glazing to the fanlight; no 70 has fluted pilasters
set obliquely, no 80 lacks quarter columns, nos 82-94 have
pilasters, fluted on nos 84, 90 and 94; nos 94-8 have single
storey porches, cornice on consoles and overlight. A number of
original panelled doors including nos. 58, 60, 66, 68 and 96.
Ground-floor windows round-arched with gauged brick heads set
in a recessed round-arched panel also with gauged brick head,
except on nos 96-100 (flat-arched with gauged brick heads);
sill band to first floor except on nos 48-50 and 96; upper
windows flat-arched with gauged brick heads. Hipped roof with
party wall projecting and carrying stacks. Some original
sashes with radiating glazing bars or 4/6 glazing to ground
floor; 6/6 sashes to first floor of no 64.
