Terraced houses. Nos 3-11 of 1765-8, developed and built by
Thomas Bird; no 1 probably of this date and developed and
built by Bird. Brick rendered with stucco, roofs of Welsh
slate. Three storeys over basement, no 1 with one window, nos
3 and 5, 9 and 11 with two windows each, no 7 with three
windows. No 1 has side entrance and identical windows to each
floor, broad, tripartite sashes with moulded architrave and
floating cornice; nos 3-ll have round-arched entrances, no 3
with moulded pilaster jambs and cornice, fanlight and panelled
door; nos 5-11 have panelled wooden doorcases with pilasters,
cornice and consoles carrying open pediments, fanlights, with
decorative glazing bars on no 5; panelled doors to nos 9 and
ll. All upper windows flat-arched with moulded architraves,
floating cornices to first floor; all sashes recessed except
those on no 5; the windows above the entrance to no 7 are
broader (8/8) than the 6/6 norm. Eaves cornice. Dormer to no
9. Stacks on party walls. Area railings with spear and urn
finials.
