Terraced house. Late C17/early C18 and possibly earlier; early
C19. Purplish and yellow brick set in Flemish bond with red
brick dressings and stucco; roof of tiles so far as visible.
Street front three storeys over basement, three bays wide and
possibly a late C17 or early C18 refronting of an earlier
building. Basement and ground floor stuccoed, the ground floor
with banded rustication and two flat-arched windows with
moulded architraves; band between floors. Windows to upper
storeys have cambered arches of gauged red brick and frames
set almost flush with outer face of wall; sash windows, the
central first-floor sash a C20 replacement. Parapet. The
entrance is set in a single-storey wing, possibly of C18 or
early C19 date, but much reworked and connected with the front
screen wall of no 14.
INTERIOR: first-floor front room has a fine wooden fireplace
with an eared architrave and mantelshelf, panelled dado,
architrave to door and dentil cornice; first-floor back room
has cornice and marble fireplace of C19 date with cast-iron
grate; staircase with turned newels and stick balusters from
the first half-landing up to the second floor; second-floor
back room has wooden fireplace with mantelshelf of late C18 or
C19 date.
