Lodge to Ryelands House (qv). c1837, extended late C19.
Sandstone ashlar with ashlar dressings. Slate roof. One storey
and 3 bays. Symmetrical, in a classical style. Plinth, corner
pilasters, and plain frieze. The central doorway is protected
by a solid porch with corner pilasters, plain frieze and
pediment at eaves level; to each side, a sashed window with
shouldered architrave. The roof is hipped with emphatically
projecting eaves, one chimney on the ridge and another to the
rear. Left return wall has one window matching those at the
front. Right-hand end linked to small added block.
