House, now shop. Mid to late C18 with alterations c1840.
Stucco; tile roof with truncated brick cross-axial stack. 2
storeys; 3-window range. Left end has carriage entrance with
cambered timber beam, probably re-used, with paired plank
gates; entrance to right has doorcase with enriched consoles
to cornice and 6-panel doors, similar entrance to right end.
Two mid C19 shop windows have similar frames and 2-light
glazing; 1st floor windows have sills and stop-chamfered
openings to 4-pane sashes; attic has 3 gabled dormers with
small-paned glazing. Rear has attached C18 garden wall
extending to rear wall, with small 2-storey outbuilding
covered with ivy (No.51).
INTERIOR: large chamfered beam to carriage way, cornices,
panelled doors and quarter-turn staircase. Included for group
value.
