Garden walls and adjoining outbuildings . Early C18 and c1771.
Coursed squared stone and brick, with moulded and plain slab
copings. Approx 2m high and approx 250m long. The walls border
Belton House Drive on the east side, then turn south east
before reaching the stable block. They then turn east and
south to flank the former estate yard. At the south end,
adjoining Belton House, a curved section with an attached
toilet block. Coped front wall with 3 doorways, the left one
blocked, with appropriate Latin inscriptions on the lintels.
This is probably that fitted out by John Langwith for the
first Baron Brownlow.
