Inn. Late C17, extended C19 and late C20. Rubble stone with
limestone ashlar addition, double Roman tiled roof with artificial
Welsh slates to C19 build, stone stacks and coped verges. L-plan.
Two-storey, 1-window C17 north front. Half-glazed door to right
with 16-pane sash in beaded architrave to left. First floor has
3-light cyma-mullioned casement. C19 range projecting to right has
12-pane sashes. Left return, gable end to road, of C17 range has
12-pane ground floor sash in beaded architrave, 2-light cyma-
mullioned casement with hoodmould to first floor and single-light
cyma-moulded casement to attic. Rear, formerly main front, has 3-
light and two 2-light ovolo-mullioned casements and moulded doorway
to ground floor, now within C20 lean-to addition, continuous string
course and 2-light and 3-light mullioned casements to first floor,
C19 gabled wing with sashes attached to rear right. West gable end
of C17 range has C20 single-storey additions, blocked 2-light
mullioned window to first floor and single ovolo-moulded attic
casement. Rear of C19 wing has lean-to addition.
Interior: C17 range has bolection-moulded stone fireplace at east
gable end and C18 beaded stone fireplace surround with rounded
corners to west, chamfered beams. Licensed as an inn since mid
C18.
