Water mill and house, now house, with foot bridge. Mid C18 and
early C19. C19 mill. Red brick. Pantile roof. Single red brick
stack to the rear. Dentil eaves. 3 storeys plus garret. 3 bays.
Doorway with glazing bar door, to the right is a single glazing
bar casement and further right an archway with wood and iron
water wheel behind. On the 1st and 2nd floors are 3 similar
casements and in the garret a single similar casement. All
casements and doorway are under segmental arches. To the right is
a 2 storey painted brick and pantile wing with 3 large doorways
and C20 doors. 3 segmental arched casements above. To the left of
the mill and slightly set back, is the C18 rendered and plain
tile house. Right gable and single ridge red brick stacks. Dentil
eaves. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Having a doorway with glazing bar
double door, to the left is a single buttress, a single
tripartite glazing bar cross casement and further left a C19
render and plain tile gabled porch with arched entrance and inner
panelled door under segmental arch. Above are 2 glazing bar cross
casements and to the left a single similar single light casement.
There is a single circular tie plate. To the left is a single
storey single bay rendered and pantile wing with dentil eaves and
single glazing bar tripartite casement. Extending in front of the
mill is a foot bridge with C20 iron parapet terminating in single
squat ashlar coped brick piers, single brick arch under. Interior
has machinery for driving stones including great spur wheel and
stone nuts. There is a wheel for opening the sluice gate.
