C17 or earlier timber-framed building, refaced with stucco on Nos 19 and 21 and
with red brick and grey headers alternately on No 23. Tiled roofs. Casement or
horizontally-sliding sash windows. Two storeys. Four windows in all. No 23 has
a plaque over the doorway inscribed: "This is Sir Harry Gough's House, 1771".
