Pair of cottages in row. Late C18. Painted ashlar, double Roman
tiled mansard roof, stone stacks. 2-storeys and attic, 4-windows.
No 53 has staff-moulded door case and flat stone hood on brackets,
No 55 has semi-circular entry to right and plain door case, No 53
has C19 square bay, No 55 has C20 casement in paired cases. Plat
band to first floor; windows are two paired sashes and two single
sashes. Roof has two hipped dormers with sashes. Rubblestone
rear, No 53 has rear wing with 2-light beaded mullioned windows.
