Farmhouse. Dated 1688. Rubble limestone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys with
attics, 4 windows to 1st floor; 2-storey, single room addition set back to right,
lean-to addition to rear right. Large quoins. Chamfered,quoined doorway to right
of centre has Tudor-arched lintel with date and hoodmould. Two 3-light mullioned
windows to left and a 3-light window to right all have wood casements with glazing
bars and central iron casements in double-chamfered surrounds, hoodmoulds. Similar
3-light windows above and matching single-light window above door. Moulded gable
copings. Renewed brick end stack to left and matching ridge stack above door.
Addition to right end has door to left of horizontally-sliding sash and similar
window above, all with segmental brick arches. Pantile roof with rendered end
stack. Rear: C19 single-light, double-chamfered windows. Gables of main range
each have a 2-light mullioned attic window with dripstone.
Interior: original ceiling beam exposed in ground-floor right room, small early
C18 wall cupboard in same room has round-arched fielded panel door. Lime-ash
upper floors. Best preserved of the village's C17 vernacular buildings.
