House. c.1640 for Edward Jarvis, yeoman (information N. Cooper). Uncoursed
limestone rubble, ironstone dressings, artificial stone slate roof (formerly
thatched). Central brick and stone stack. 2-unit lobby entry plan. 2 storeys
with cellar and attic, 5 bays. 2-light stone mullioned cellar window in left
bay. Doorway third bay from left has stone 4-centred head and C20 plank door.
Flanking it one 2-light stone mullioned window with square hood. Above doorway
at mezzanine level, is similar 2-light window. Outer first floor bays, have one
light stone framed windows, and inner bays, 2-light stone mullioned windows.
Central attic window, 2 lights with stone mullion. Roof has coped gables with
kneelers. Interior: Open fireplace with bread oven and two C17 stone fire-
places with 4-centred arches on first floor. Staircase C20.
