approximately 40 metres
to east of
Stonehill Farmhouse
GV II
Cartshed with dovecote. c1800. Red brick in random bond, pantile roof.
2 storeys, single cell with 2-bay cartshed arcades in east and west sides.
West side: 2 infilled basket archways to ground floor that on left obscured
by attached farmbuildings (not if special interest). Lunette to upper storey
with 2 deep stone ledges; dentilled eaves, shaped kneelers and ashlar gable
copings. Rear (east side); open archways as front. Right return: blind
lunette with 2 ledges as front; blocked lunette to gable.
Left return: external steps incorporated within attached farmbuildings(not of
special interest).
Interior: brick-paved upper storey with brick nesting holes. Floor and roof
in poor condition at time of resurvey.
