Stable-block. Dated '1671'. Rubble sandstone, sheet asbestos roof. 2 storeys,
3 bays (externally). Large quoins. Central doorway (now window) has quoins and
deep lintel with keystone flanked by numerals of date; dripstone. Outer bays
each have a later casement within a C17 double-chamfered window surround now
without mullion but with dripstone. 1st floor: outer windows have part-slatted
casements in altered surrounds as below, central slatted casement inserted.
Shaped kneelers and ashlar gable copings on left. Left returns large C20 sliding
door inserted on ground-floor right. Above, on left, an original quoined doorway
(now blocked) has deep lintel with keystone and dripstone.
Interior: original roof structure with 3 principal-rafter trusses. Included for
group value. Lower farmbuildings attached to right return not of special interest.
