GV II

House, remains of larger house. Late C16/Early C17; extended in C18. Timber framed
clad below in red and blue brick with tile hung first floor, cast out over ground
floor, frame exposed to right on first floor with brick infill. Plain tiled roofs;
C20, stepping down to ends. Old entrance front at right angles to lane. Two
storeys. Rebuilt stack to rear right of centre. One first floor leaded casement
to centre, lower first floor window to left and continuous leaded fenestration to
first floor of right hand extension; 4-light window to centre, 3-light window to
ground floor right. Half-glazed door to right of centre. Weatherboard pentice to
right, framed pentice to left and outshot to rear. Right hand return front:- arch
bracing, wattle and daub infilling.
Interior:- substantial square-panel frame exposed with central spine beam on
scrolled corbels.
