Large house. Dated 1653 but probably earlier origin. Coursed
limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and plain tile roofs
(modern to front, C19 to rear), with coped gables and moulded
stone ridge and end stacks. Of 2 builds. Left hand block
(probably the earlier), one storey and attic with projecting
gable to right. Ground floor has a 3-light ovolo-moulded
mullioned window with cornice-over. C19 gabled dormer above
with 2-light mullioned window to match. Projecting gable has a
4-light ovolo-moulded window with king mullion and cornice to
ground floor, and a similar 2-light window above. Right-hand
block of 2 storeys and attic and 3 bays, the third a
projecting gable. Bay 1 has a 4-centred arched entrance with
C19 board door and a 3-light mullioned window above. Bay 2 has
a 2-light mullioned window to ground and first floors and the
projecting gable has a 4-light mullioned window (with king
mullion) to ground and first floors and a 3- light mullioned
window with central stepped light to the attic, with a
diamond-shaped date stone in the gable. Windows mostly
iron-framed gudgeon- hung casements.
