17/34 The Schoolhouse
GV II
School and schoolhouse, now one dwelling. Early C19. Squared coursed limestone
with Welsh slate roof. School house originally 2-unit plan, forming L-shape
arrangement with the school room. House is 2 storeys. Main front is 3-window
range of triangular-head windows with keyblocks and Gothick glazing bars.
Central panelled door has similar head. Hipped roof. One bay of rear range,
which is the former school room, is set back to right of main front. Similar
windows to those at main front. School room has hipped roof to right and gable
to left. Stone stack at ridge, Interior not inspected.
