Summer house. Dated 1688, altered in Cl9, restored c.1978. For Bosvile family.
Thinly-coursed rubble, stone slate roof. Square plan. Two storeys and basement,
one bay. Flush quoins to lower part, raised quoins to upper part. Chamfered
plinth/band between the floors. The main entrance is at lst-floor level, due to
sloping ground, and has moulded, quoined surround, moulded imposts and ornamental
lintel above which is a plaque with the Bosvile coat of arms. Moulded eaves
cornice. Pyramidal roof. Rear: double-chamfered cross window to ground floor,
and one 2-light double-chamfered window to 1st floor. Left return has a 2-light
double-chamfered window to basement, and to ground floor a small single-light
double-chamfered window with hoodmould and an entrance with chamfered surround and
cambered head inscribed: ' B
G B (Godfrey Bosvile III d.1714) .

To 1st floor is a large unequally-hung 9 pane sash window. Similar window to
right return.
Interior: stop-chamfered spine beams in basement, later joists. C19 cast-iron.
