5/239 The Old Vicarage
II
House. 1696-1704. Limestone ashlar, chamfered quoins. Tile roof, flanking stone
sticks. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Central doorway with moulded stone surround
and open segmental pediment on brackets. C20 double half-glazed door and
overlight. C20 canted bay windows on either side. 2-light windows with wood
mullions and transoms and moulded stone frames with keyblocks on first floor.
Coped gable ends with kneelers. A short wall projecting from the right side has
a C15 square headed window of 2 cusped lights. Interior not inspected but noted
as having early C18 panelled walls and overmantel in a ground floor room.
