Threshing barn and cartshed, and attached ranges of cowbyres, loose boxes
and stables. Early C19 with later C19 roof. Red brick buildings in
English garden wall bond; yard arcades timber-framed; pantile roofs.
Buildings form square foldyard. 2-storey, 6-bay barn range, with 1-storey
ranges attached at rear. Double doors in full-height opening, with timber
lintel and cambered relieving arch, at right of centre. Three segmental
cart arches to left beneath narrow round-headed loft opening. To right,
blocked threshing machine holes from former horse-engine house with
cambered-arched loft opening above. Interior: rear of barn range has
opposed full-height opening with double board doors. Yard aisled on all
four sides and roofed over. Tall jowled arcade posts support two braced
and strutted king post trusses, raised above aisle roofs. Aisle roofs
carried on braces and struts supported by aisle tie beams.
