Pair of cottages, now one dwelling. c.1845, Coursed squared ironstone, limestone
dressings, brick side and rear walls, slate roof, central stone stack. Tudor
style, 2 storeys and attic, 2 bays. Gabled central bay emphasised by quoins.
Doorways in outer bays on ground floor have 4-centred stone arches with square
hoods and plank doors. Two 2-light stone mullioned windows in centre under
continuous stone hood. Similar windows on first floor. One-light attic window in
gable with plain stone frame. All windows have diamond shaped leaded panes.
Interior not inspected. An estate cottage built by Col. Henry Hely Hutchinson.
Formerly had a stone plaque with initials H.H.H. (Information from Francis
Sitwell).
