House. Late C17. (Datestone 1683). Remodelled C19. Squared coursed limestone and
ironstone, tiled roof, brick and stone stacks. L-plan. Street front has gabled
bay to right, 2 storeys and attic; left bay 2 storeys. Central doorway with
rectangular overlight. 4-panel door, part glazed, and C19 gabled timber hood.
C19 windows on either side have segmental heads of black brick and 3-light wood
casements. Similar window in right bay of first floor. Window to left has wood
lintel and 3-light wood casement. Attic window C17 of two lights with stone
mullion and stone hood. Rear wing, late C17. Similar materials; 2 storeys and
attic, 3 bays; central stack. Doorway to right of centre has wood lintel,
6-panel door and C20 timber porch. C17 one-light window with stone hood to left
and similar 3-light window with stone mullions in left bay. C20 window with
concrete lintel in right bay. First floor window in left bay is of 2 lights with
stone mullion; single-light window with stone hood to right and window with wood
lintel and C20 three-light metal casement in right bay. Date 1683 inscribed
roughly on quoin stone of left bay on ground floor. 2-light windows with stone
mullions and square hoods on all floors of left side. Interior not inspected.
