Circa 1900 in Scottish Baronial style. 4 bays with 2 bay return. 4 storeys and
dormers. Slated roof. Coursed, squared grit stone rubble. Gabled south facade
and plain and stepped gables to bays of east front. Tourelle on corner with
clock. Recessed casement windows with transoms and mullions; 1st and 2nd floors
with splayed bay windows with balustraded parapet over. Former main centre with
domed oriel window over at 1st floor level and plaque at 2nd floor level inscribed
"J.H.1900." Modern ground floor shops and entrances. Modern pavement canopy
with glazed roof.
