House. Main range dated 1670, wing dated 1719 with extensive C19 additions and
alterations; wing of 1940. Coursed squared limestone and ironstone with
ironstone dressings, plain-tile roofs, stone end and ridge stacks; massive ridge
stack has 4 octagonal brick flues. Complex plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window
range to front. C20 gabled stone porch to right of centre. Large cross wing to
left with 3-light chamfered stone mullion windows to ground and first floors and
similar 2-light window to attic, all with hood moulds. Datestone in gable
inscribed R/C/A/l670. Wings to left and right have 2-light C19 chamfered stone
mullion windows to ground and first floors. Rear left wing facing street has
datestone in gable inscribed W/IM/1719. Interior has stop-chamfered spine beams.
