Circa 1909-14 by Temple Moore; north and south transepts added circa 1924-8 by
Leslie Moore who also designed the Lady Chapel in 1935. Large, finely designed
church in early English style with various original features. 3 bay nave with
aisles; 3 bay chancel with clerestory and octagonal Lady Chapel at east end with
ambulatory. 2 bay transepts with chapels; north transept combining tower-like
entrance porch with organ above; apsidal south transept. Crenellated central
tower with pyramidical roof. Slated and tiled roofs with corbelled eaves. Bath
stone ashlar with buttressed walls. Windows with paired lancet lights; west end
with 2 3-light windows in hexagonal bow; 5 light east window; stained glass by
Victor Milner. Deeply recessed entrance porch with receeding orders. Interior
with stone rib-vaulted roof.
